Behind the Scenes: What It's Like Being on Set for a Hair Photoshoot

Most people only see the finished photos, but there's so much that goes into creating the perfect image. From early call times to the final camera click, every photoshoot is a team effort and one of our favorite parts of the job.

A day on set usually starts with prepping the hair. Every strand is carefully placed, every detail is checked, and every style is refined before the model ever steps in front of the camera. The goal is to make the hair look just as beautiful in person as it does through the camera lens.

Throughout the shoot, the work doesn't stop. Hair is constantly being adjusted between shots to make sure every angle looks perfect. A few flyaways, a curl that's fallen, or a section that needs a little more volume can make all the difference. It's a fast-paced environment where hairstylists, photographers, makeup artists, wardrobe stylists, and creative directors all work together to bring a shared vision to life.

One of the most rewarding parts of being on set is watching an idea become reality. Seeing the lighting, styling, and hair come together to create stunning final images is always exciting. Every photoshoot is a chance to be creative, try something new, and showcase the artistry behind professional hairstyling.

At Salon Amoura, we love taking our work beyond the salon. Being part of editorial shoots, campaigns, and creative collaborations allows us to stay inspired while continuing to grow as artists. The techniques, trends, and attention to detail we bring to photoshoots are the same ones we bring to every guest who sits in our chair.

Whether we're behind the chair in the salon or behind the scenes on set, our passion is the same creating beautiful hair that helps people feel confident. We can't wait to share more of these behind-the-scenes moments and show you what goes into creating the images you see on our website and social media.
